2nd PRME MENA Regional Forum

November 7th & 8th, 2012

On November 7th, 2012, under the High Patronage of His Excellency The President of the Council of Ministers, Najib Mikati, represented by H.E. Minister of Economy and Trade, Nicolas Nahas, the Arab Society of the Faculties of Business, Economic & Political Sciences (BEPS) and the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) inaugurated the 2nd PRME MENA Regional Forum, entitled “Doing Business Responsibly: When Corporations Become Citizens”. The event took place in cooperation with The General Secretariat of The Initiative of Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), affiliated to The United Nations; The Association of Arab Universities (AARU), The American University in Cairo (AUC); The George Washington University (GWU), and Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), at Jean Paul II Amphitheater at USEK Main Campus.

This forum mainly aimed at endorsing the notion of responsible business and the importance of adopting PRME in the MENA region, as per the recommendations of the 1st Regional Forum at the American University in Cairo in 2011. An aim of the Forum was to also agree on the objectives of the PRME regional chapter for the MENA region.
